Six Flags

Friday was our last day in California.  We took the kids to Six Flags.  They loved all the roller coasters.  I spent the first half of the day with Emma and Jonah in Bugs Bunny Land.  They really had fun on the kiddie rides.  Jonah liked to help Emma on the rides and make sure that she was buckled in safely.  It was really cute.

Emma and Jonah got to meet Bugs Bunny

Jonah wasn't too happy about going into Thomas Town.  He said that he is too old for Thomas.  But he went on the rides with Emma anyway.  Here they are on Percy the Train.

My Superhero's!!

Emma won this Tweety Bird.  While we waited for everyone else to get off the Terminator ride, she kept begging for me to get her a stuffed animal, but the only way to get one is to win the game.  I saw a sign on the game that everyone under 12 will get a prize whether they win or not, so I thought I would give it a shot.  They got a man to play against her because they had to have 2 people to play.  I could tell that he thought it would be an easy win.  But Emma gave him a run for his money and she won the game all by herself.

We had so much fun.  It was hard to see the vacation end.  I can't wait for the time when we can go again.

San Diego Zoo

On the fourth day of our trip, we had planned to go to the beach.  Unfortunately the weather had other plans.  It was still overcast, rainy and a little cold.  We decided that instead of sitting around the condo for the day we would go to the San Diego Zoo.  I haven't been to the zoo since I was 13 years old and I didn't remember how big it was.  WOW!!  There were so many animals.  I was amazed.

We took a bus ride around the zoo.  It took almost an hour to drive around the whole zoo.

Gotta look at the animals.

At the petting zoo

We finally got to the beach after the zoo.  It was very cold but we had to go play in the sand!

Emma is looking for shells.

Jonah, Connor and Preston loved playing in the waves even though the water was freezing.

I love this picture, big brother Alex taking little sister Emma by the hand so she can go in the water.

Look at those waves!

It got too cold for Emma, so we decided to head in for dinner.

This is a picture of our poor, pathetic sand castle.  The sand was too wet to build with it.  When you put it in the bucket, the water surfaced at the top and then you couldn't get the sand out of the bucket.  What can I say...we tried!

Disneyland Day 3

Our last day at Disneyland started with the Teacups.  It was a great day.  It wasn't too hot and there was no rain.  There also wasn't very many people.  The lines were short and we got on most of the rides right away.

Storybook Land.  Its a really cool boat ride where you can see the miniatures of the lands in Disney cartoons.

Time for Toontown.  Don't crash Preston!!

We got to meet Pluto

and Minnie

and Mickey.

Somewhere in Mickey's house.

Dad is trying to give Alex a piggyback ride.  Hope Alex doesn't break him.

Emma got to meet up with Sleeping Beauty.  It was so cute.  We came around the Matterhorn and there was Sleeping Beauty walking along.  Emma jumped out of the stroller and went to see her.  Sleeping Beauty took Emma by the hand and walked with her down the street.

While they were walking Ariel joined them.  Emma was in Princess Heaven!

She also got to see Jasmine!

We had the best time at Disneyland!!  I can't wait to go back.

Disneyland Day 2-California Adventure

Today was California Adventure day.  It rained pretty much all day.  There was even thunder and lightning. It was still a good day and we had alot of fun riding the rides and watching the shows.

The little green army men from Andy's toybox.

Getting ready to go to the Bugs Life movie, "It's Tough to be a Bug"

The Beast's Library at the Animation Pavilion.

Monsters Inc. ride.

The Tower of Terror.  I actually went on the ride!  Only went once though, if I went again, I would loose my lunch!

This is the picture that was taken during the ride.

Time to ride the rides in A Bug's Land.

We got DRENCHED.  It was a downpour as we waited in line for Toy Story Mania.  I left the umbrella with the stroller because we thought that we would be waiting inside.  Boy were we wrong!  I was under a ledge trying to keep Emma and myself dry, when some lady behind us started freaking out that we weren't moving forward.  I told her that we were waiting for the line to move so we could stay dry, but she would not wait.  She cut in front of me and Emma.  In order to stay with the family, we had to run up in front of her and stand in the pouring rain.  Some people have no patience or consideration for other people.  This woman could see that I had no jacket or umbrella and that my 3 year old child was with me, but she didn't care.  All she cared about was that she wasn't moving as fast as she thought she should.  Needless to say, it was really nice to get on the ride.

This is the end of our day at California Adventure.  We stopped for a family picture with Mater and Lightning McQueen.  As you can see, I look like a drowned rat! It was tons of fun even though we got rained on and I can't wait for our last day at Disneyland.

I am really glad that my parents were able to come with us on this vacation.  I love spending time with them and I know my kids do to.  Thanks Mom and Dad (Grandma and Grandpa) for joining us.  It has been a great time.
