Backyard Fun

Emma and Jonah decided that they wanted to run thru the sprinklers. I turned them on and all they did was run AWAY from the water.
Shiloh was running thru all the sprinklers in the yard.  In fact, she chased them as they moved.

I suggested that we put a sprinkler on the hose so that the water stayed in the same place.  Shiloh liked that idea alot better than the kids did.

She LOVED the water!

Emma ran AROUND the sprinkler.  I don't think that she liked the cold water very much.

Jonah did pretty good running thru the sprinkler but.....

he wanted to hold the hose so that he could spray everyone.

Emma is done!  Time to go in the house and have a snack!

Now that we don't have a pool, I need to go to the store and buy some water toys for the backyard.  I think that we need a small pool, maybe a slip and slide, and some squirt guns!

Lava Hot Springs

For Father's Day, we took the family to Lava Hot Springs.  It has been so long since we have been there and it was so much fun.
Just getting things set up.

Isn't Alex just so cool with his sunglasses?

Time for a lunch break.

Emma was ready to get back in the water right away.  She didn't even want to eat lunch!

Say Cheese!!!

Just chillin'.

Jonah's arm turned blue from the combination of sunscreen and floaties.  The writing on the floaties rubbed off on his arm.  It took 2 days for it to wash off.
Lava has changed a lot in the last few years.  The have added 4 slides.  2 hyrdo-tube slides and 2 speed slides.  The speed slides are the ones with that big bridge in the picture.  It goes across the road that leads to the pool.  It is a really fun place.  Now all they need to add is a water playground for the little kids!

Remodeling

Randy is in the middle of remodeling his office in our basement.  He is turning it into his music room so that he and Alex have a place to practice their guitars.  Plus, they need somewhere to put their equipment so it isn't in my living room!
Right now they are sanding the sheetrock, getting it ready to paint.

I bet you can't tell where the mask was. :o)

I will post pictures of the finished product as soon as they are done.

Congratulations....

Just an update for everyone.
Randy was able to get the job that he wanted with Davis Hospital as a manager in the Admissions Department.  So, Boston is no longer in our future.  YAY!!!  I hope that Randy will do well in his new job and that things will start to settle down at our house now.
