January wasn't really that eventful. Randy was traveling for his job and I was keeping busy with work and kids. I did get a new car. It is WONDERFUL. I got so tired of the van that I was driving. It had a lot of issues and I was tired of not being able to count on my car to get me to where I needed to be. I love my new car. It is a 2011 Honda Pilot and it is so much fun to drive. Did I mention that I love my new car?
February has been more eventful. Jarrod's birthday was Feb 11th. He would have been 35. Our family celebrated by going to the cemetary and writing messages on balloons and letting them go.

After the cemetary, we went to Maddox and had a birthday dinner to celebrate Jarrod's birthday, as well as all of the adult's birthdays. (We have one big dinner every year.)
Valentine's Day was wonderful. We celebrated on Saturday instead of Monday. My husband is wonderful. While I was at work, he brought me the most beautiful bouquet of roses. It was huge.
When I got home from work, he had a romantic candlelight dinner all set up in our bedroom TV room. Soft music, red candles, rose petals on the table, heart-shaped plates, red tablecloth and chocolates. I wish I would have taken a picture is was so beautiful.
On Valentine's Day, I started my new job. I am doing Mortgage Support for America First. I am located in the Operations Center. I really like it. There is so much to learn and it is very interesting.
Also on Valetine's Day, we discovered a leak in our kitchen ceiling. Randy was working in the kitchen (he got locked out of his office) and he stood up to stretch. When he put his hands above his head, his fingers went through the kitchen ceiling. He started pulling down sheetrock and discovered that the boards were covered in mold. This little area is right under our master bathroom and the pipes that are there, run from the tub. Randy went and filled the tub, sure enough, it was leaking. I guess that it has been leaking for awhile since there was mold growing and the sheetrock was so brittle.
We have a wonderful neighbor who is a plumber and he came to look at it. Luckily, it was a small problem with the drain of the tub and he fixed it in a couple hours for a minimal fee. Thank goodness.
Now to repair the hole in the ceiling. :-)
