Six Flags

Friday was our last day in California.  We took the kids to Six Flags.  They loved all the roller coasters.  I spent the first half of the day with Emma and Jonah in Bugs Bunny Land.  They really had fun on the kiddie rides.  Jonah liked to help Emma on the rides and make sure that she was buckled in safely.  It was really cute.

Jonah wasn't too happy about going into Thomas Town.  He said that he is too old for Thomas.  But he went on the rides with Emma anyway.  Here they are on Percy the Train.

Emma won this Tweety Bird.  While we waited for everyone else to get off the Terminator ride, she kept begging for me to get her a stuffed animal, but the only way to get one is to win the game.  I saw a sign on the game that everyone under 12 will get a prize whether they win or not, so I thought I would give it a shot.  They got a man to play against her because they had to have 2 people to play.  I could tell that he thought it would be an easy win.  But Emma gave him a run for his money and she won the game all by herself.

We had so much fun.  It was hard to see the vacation end.  I can't wait for the time when we can go again.

San Diego Zoo

On the fourth day of our trip, we had planned to go to the beach.  Unfortunately the weather had other plans.  It was still overcast, rainy and a little cold.  We decided that instead of sitting around the condo for the day we would go to the San Diego Zoo.  I haven't been to the zoo since I was 13 years old and I didn't remember how big it was.  WOW!!  There were so many animals.  I was amazed.

We took a bus ride around the zoo.  It took almost an hour to drive around the whole zoo.

We finally got to the beach after the zoo.  It was very cold but we had to go play in the sand!

It got too cold for Emma, so we decided to head in for dinner.

This is a picture of our poor, pathetic sand castle.  The sand was too wet to build with it.  When you put it in the bucket, the water surfaced at the top and then you couldn't get the sand out of the bucket.  What can I say...we tried!

Disneyland Day 3

Our last day at Disneyland started with the Teacups.  It was a great day.  It wasn't too hot and there was no rain.  There also wasn't very many people.  The lines were short and we got on most of the rides right away.

Storybook Land.  Its a really cool boat ride where you can see the miniatures of the lands in Disney cartoons.

Emma got to meet up with Sleeping Beauty.  It was so cute.  We came around the Matterhorn and there was Sleeping Beauty walking along.  Emma jumped out of the stroller and went to see her.  Sleeping Beauty took Emma by the hand and walked with her down the street.

While they were walking Ariel joined them.  Emma was in Princess Heaven!

She also got to see Jasmine!

We had the best time at Disneyland!!  I can't wait to go back.
