Changes

For those of you who read Facebook, you know that we have had a huge change in our life this week.  After 18 1/2 years with Convergys, Randy was laid-off.  He has enjoyed working for the company and it has allowed our family to grow and enjoy many of the good things in life.
I just wanted to let Randy and everyone know how proud I am of him and everything he has accomplished.  Randy was able to move up thru the ranks of Convergys, going from an agent on the phones to a senior manager over various departments.  He has inspired many people that he worked with and has shown our children what it means to be dedicated to your work.
Even though this will be a big change for our family, I know that Heavenly Father will see us thru the tough times that may lie ahead.
Randy will be working on his Master's Degree in Education and would like to become an elementary school teacher.  I know that he will be a great teacher and will inspire many children to do their best.

I love you Randy and I know that you will do great in all your future endeavors.

The Klondike

Back in January, Alex and Preston participated in the Klondike Derby.  This adventure is for the 12 and 13 year old boy scouts.  The get the "opportunity" to camp out in the snow.  This does not seem fun to me.  I mean how can you enjoy yourself in 4 degree weather and sleeping in a snow cave.  I might not think that it's enjoyable, but they LOVE it!
Here is where they slept.
Preston is waiting for dinner to cook.
Don't you think they look cold?  I do!
Hobo dinners.  YUMMY!
Inside the snow cave.
Time for bed!
Alex participating in the sled races.
Preston just chilling out!
